Today we worked on day 2 in the packet, pages 5-10. We also took notes on Diabetes, both types and completed the Diabetes Follow-Up assignment for homework.
Today we took the exam on the Stress Management Unit. If you did not take the exam you need to schedule a time in AT with Mrs. Arellano to make it up. We also received the new unit packet for our Disease Prevention unit. We completed the vocabulary pages (p1and2) in class. If you did not finish, then it is homework and needs to be completed before the next class. We also took notes on disease to give some background information for the activity that we will do next class. Those notes are attached.
Today we reviewed for the exam that will take place next class. Attached is the study guide.
We finished watching the movie today and answered the discussion questions in our packets. We talked about stress and relationships, and how it can cause people to snap. Below is a link to the movie in case you need to watch it.

(8-10 hours) And then we began watching the movie Bang, Bang, You're Dead. We are looking for themes of stress and how relationships can cause stress (home, work, school, peer-peer, parent-child, teacher-child, teacher-teacher). You only need to work on page 23 in the packet for the movie. We will finish the response page next class.
We took the sleep IQ quiz, answers and notes are attached. We also read two articles and calculated our bed times. Follow along in your packet, pages 12-19.
We watched a video about teenagers and stress. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Scot0rJGtUA) We also learned stress management skills, they are attached below. Complete pages 8-11 in your packet.
In class today we completed Day 1 in the Stress Management Unit, follow along in the packet for assignments. We also began our sleep log, on page 1 of the packet. You will keep track of your sleep for a whole week. If you missed the vocab activity you are to do it on your own using the internet to find the definitions, but you do not have to make a poster, just fill out your packet.
In class today we went over the syllabus and talked about the packet system and how it works. Attached is the syllabus and the packet for our first unit, Stress Management.
